Yeah that's right kids, I got a bladder infection. And let me tell you, it was not the most pleasant experience of my life. We did a school show for Jesus Christ Superstar Monday and then I got to go to dance for once! Everything was going great for the day, I went to bed early to get some rest yada yada.
Until... dun dun dun. I awake freezing at 2:36 in the morning. There is absolutely no way for me to get warm and I am in pain. I knew as much as I wanted to deny it that I was getting sick. I couldn't really yell loud enough for my mom to hear, so I called her on my cell phone (oh how nice technology is). She came down and helped me move to the bed upstairs, gave me some tylenol, a washcloth for my forehead, and put blankets on the bed until I stopped shiverrrrring. I finally fell asleep once my tylenol kicked in, and I made it until about 8:30 when my fever started acting up again. My mom gave me more tylenol and once I calmed down a little we went to urgent care. After a miserable hour waiting, moving to a room to get measured, waiting, peeing in a cup, waiting, the doctor determined I had a bladder infection. My fever in the office was around 102, mind you, that was after I had cooled down enough to leave my household.
So I am bedridden for 2 days with occasional fevers and puking (thank you small print on my prescription....stupid dairy). I got in some quality Oprah watching and watched a movie with the 'rents one night. Luckily, I felt well enough to move by Thursday afternoon and I went to my after lunch classes and did the play that night. It went really well for being sick. The next morning I went to school, but by lunch I was exhausted from a lack of sleep so I went home and napped before Friday night's show.
Saturday was just a good day. I slept til 1, leisurely got ready, had a wonderful show, and went to the cast party. The only thing that put a damper on my day was Alex's parents showing up at Jesus and being the jerks they are. Since Alex isn't living with his parents at the moment, my dad offered to him that he can borrow the truck this week since he'll be at work. Today Alex took up the offer and he's driving it until he doesn't need it. I'm so greatful to have a dad as nice as mine that is willing to do that to help out my friends. Well, that's all for now, I'm off to do make up work and studyudyudy.
